The Trade Panel

The trade panel is the primary interface for placing orders. It’s accessible from any page via the Trade button or the sidebar.

Market Selection

Use the search bar at the top of the trade panel to find a market. Markets are listed with their current price, 24h change, and funding rate. The platform selector shows which platform the selected market is being traded on. If a market is available on multiple platforms, you can switch platforms to compare liquidity and fees before placing an order.

Order Types

Market Order

Executes immediately at the best available price. Use market orders when speed matters more than price precision.

Limit Order

Executes at your specified price or better. The order rests in the order book until filled or cancelled.

Stop Market / Stop Limit

Triggered when the mark price crosses a specified threshold. Used for stop losses or breakout entries.

Leverage

Adjust leverage using the Leverage slider in the trade panel. Each platform has different maximum leverage limits per market.
Higher leverage increases both potential profit and potential loss. Positions can be liquidated if the mark price moves against you. Understand the liquidation price shown in the trade panel before submitting.

Platform Selector

The platform selector lets you choose which integrated perp DEX executes your order. When you switch platforms:
  • The order book, price, and funding rate update to reflect the selected platform
  • Your available balance shows the balance for that platform
  • Orders are submitted to the selected platform only
Tangerine does not automatically split orders across platforms. You choose explicitly which platform fills each order.

Open Orders and Positions

Active orders and open positions appear in the tabs below the trade panel:
  • Positions — open perpetual positions with unrealized PnL, liquidation price, and funding accrual
  • Open Orders — pending limit orders
  • Order History — filled and cancelled orders
All of these are platform-specific: the data shown reflects whichever platform is currently selected in the platform selector. For a cross-platform view, use the Portfolio page.
